While many states have now legalized or decriminalized cannabis, the number of arrests for possession and distribution is still alarmingly high and thousands of humans are currently incarcerated for cannabis related offenses.
These facts are juxtaposed against the multibillion-dollar cannabis industry that currently benefits industry giants as well as state and federal tax collectors.

Boston native Niambe McIntosh, daughter of legendary reggae musician and activist @petertosh, lost her brother Jawara to the war on cannabis.
Niambe continues her father’s work of cannabis activism in honor of her late brother and in the service of the thousands of families across America who are oppressed by the war on cannabis. We’re honored to have her as a member of our curating council.
