Things to Do in Boston During the World Cup

Whether you’re visiting from Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Germany, England, Scotland, or anywhere else in the world, you’re probably searching for things to do between matches, unique museums to visit, and memorable experiences that you won’t find back home.
Thousands of fans are expected to visit Boston during the World Cup, making it the perfect time to discover unique local attractions beyond the stadiums.
If that’s you, we’d like to introduce you to something unexpected:
The Core Cannabis Museum, New England’s only cannabis museum, located inside Seed Cannabis Market in Jamaica Plain, Boston.
A Different Kind of Museum

Most museums tell the story of art, science, history, or culture.
The Core Cannabis Museum explores all of those through the lens of a single plant.
Our mission is to help visitors better understand cannabis through history, policy, science, culture, and personal experience.
Whether you’re a longtime cannabis enthusiast, a curious traveler, or someone who has never seen a legal cannabis market before, the museum was designed to spark conversation and learning.
Admission is completely free.
Seed 2 Soul: A Journey Through the Cannabis Plant
Our current exhibition, Seed 2 Soul, takes visitors on a journey through the lifecycle of cannabis.
From a tiny seed to a fully grown plant, the exhibit explores the biology, cultivation, uses, and cultural impact of cannabis in a way that is engaging and accessible to everyone.
You don’t need any prior cannabis knowledge to enjoy it.
In fact, many of our visitors are experiencing legal cannabis culture for the very first time.
Is Cannabis Legal in Boston?
For many international visitors, this is often the first question.
The answer is yes.
Cannabis is legal for adults age 21 and older in Massachusetts.
Licensed cannabis retailers operate throughout the state, allowing adults to purchase cannabis products legally.
For visitors coming from countries where cannabis remains prohibited, visiting a legal cannabis market can be a fascinating cultural experience in itself.
A Few Important Things to Know
- You must be 21 or older to purchase cannabis.
- A valid government-issued ID or passport is required.
- Cannabis cannot legally cross state or international borders.
- Public consumption is prohibited in Massachusetts.
If you’re unsure about the rules, our team is always happy to answer questions.
First Time Trying Cannabis?
You’re Not Alone.
Every day we meet visitors who are stepping into a dispensary for the very first time.
Some are curious.
Some are nervous.
Some simply want to understand what all the conversation is about.
That’s where our team comes in.
At Seed, we call our staff Purveyors because their role is not just to sell products, but to help educate and guide guests through the experience.
If it’s your first time, we can help you understand:
- The difference between THC and CBD
- Flower, edibles, beverages, vapes, and concentrates
- How dosing works
- Which products may be more beginner-friendly
- How to choose an experience that matches your comfort level
There is no pressure and no expectation that you need to know anything before you walk through the door.
Questions are always welcome.
More Than a Dispensary
Seed and the Core Cannabis Museum share the same space, creating a unique destination where education and retail exist side by side.
Visitors can explore the museum, learn about the plant, ask questions, and then decide whether they would like to explore legal cannabis products.
Some guests leave with products.
Others leave with knowledge.
Many leave with both.
